This page is all about our horses and animals, past and present. This page is also for the girls and boys who have learned to love the horses and animals that live here. Please send your memories to us, pictures of your drawings from your journals. These should be about the animals, and then watch this page grow. Only be careful to make sure we know exactly who you are drawing and writing about so we know where to put the words and pictures. We are very excited to see who your favorite horse is, and your drawings and descriptions about our animals. Blue is a 21year old Arabian who loves to jump and go fast on trail rides, but he is also very good at taking care of his young riders.

Annie is a 31 year old quarter horse who has been at the farm for many years! She’s a typically Chestnut Mare, who LOVES trail rides and jumping! She is used in our lesson program.

| Change is around 31-32 years old. He is an Off the Track Throughbred (OTTB). He is one of our goofiest residents as well as our tallest horse! His favorite activity will riding is to Canter! He is also great with beginners! |

Gman is an 8 year old Chestnut Appaloosa and is owned my Bria Holmes. He has lots of personality and is currently getting finer training in dressage and jumping! He is used in the lesson program |
Scooter is about 17 years old and our only pony at Canaan Farms. He is currently used in our lesson program and loves to jump! |

Obie is the chestnut (brown horse with the marking on his face) he is Mrs Selena’s horse. Obie was trained by Selena when he was younger. Now he is 21 years old, but has the energy of a young gelding! He is not used in our lesson program. |

Duchess and Anya are around 20 years old and are Freisians. They are extremely lovable and are always looking for some good scratches!

Mickey is the gray cat, he is around 14 years old and is Selena’s house cat, although you will probably see him at the barn quite often because he is always looking for someone to pet him!
Pickles is the black cat and is around 6 years old, she is Selena’s house cat too. She does not come up to the barn often but sometimes you’ll see her around the arena!
Erkle is the tabby-ish cat. He is our barn cat that found us! One day he just showed up and decided Canaan Farms was a great home! He’s a little shy to new people but if he’s really craving attention on day you might see him while grooming your horse!

Pistol was Selena’s horse for almost 29 years. He loved to be ridden by her and their favorite activity was trail rides, but if you went on a trail with them be prepared to hang on, they loved to go fast! Pistol passed in 2020 and is missed greatly at Canaan Farms.

| Skip was a beautiful palomino quarter horse. He was a great trail riding horse and you always knew you’d be taken care of with him! Canaan Farms misses him greatly. |
