Canaan Farms is an intimate, multi-purpose equine / animal care facility located in Calvert County, Maryland offering a full range of lessons in horsemanship from beginner level to advanced, and including workshops, clinics, shows and events. |
We have many new faces here at our homey little farm, each of them anxious to teach you about their passion. We feel very blessed to have such a fine staff.
We are equipped with a large horse barn, an outdoor riding arena with lighting, round pen, multiple paddocks, teaching horses, and access to over 100 acres of riding trails. We also have a fully-equipped kennel area to board dogs. We have a variety of animals including cats, dogs, a rabbit, peafowl, horses, koi fish, a sheep and a pig. We have six garden ponds (2 waterfalls) and lots of flowers and herbs and many others types of plants.
In addition to our riding program, we also have art programs and lessons by local artists. Art is a very strong part of our successful holiday and summer camp programs. We also offer day camps during the school year on those week days school is closed. Let us know if you are interested in workshops, camps, lessons or any other service we provide.
